A Hopper Magnetic Grill, also known as a magnetic grate, is a magnetic separation device designed to remove fine and tramp ferrous contaminants from free-flowing materials such as powders, granules, and small particles. It is commonly installed at the outlet or inlet of hoppers, chutes, or bins.

A magnetic drum separator consists of a rotating drum with a stationary magnet system inside. As material is fed onto the drum surface, the magnetic field attracts and holds ferrous particles against the drum while non-magnetic materials fall freely away. The drum then rotates the captured magnetic material out of the magnetic field and drops it into a separate discharge area.
